SYNOPSIS

A mysterious organic alien witnesses the birth of his creation, a being of pure energy he dubs Tornedron, and sends him out to drain entire worlds of their energy. Tornedron does well, even depleting Cybertron and Earth of their power in quick succession. Meanwhile, the Autobots wrestle with the Decepticons on an asteroid, but both sides soon lose many of their ranks as the Dinobots, Predacons, Terrorcons, and all other animalistic Transformers leave, drawn to a strange voice beckoning to them from outer space. As the astounded Autobots remain on the asteroid and the Decepticons go after the deserters, Tornedron passes over them all, renders them inanimate, and returns to his master to take on the incoming primeval Transformers. The primitives soon land on a planet in deep space, where the summoning voice leads them into a cave. There, they encounter the essence of the assistant of Primacron, who tells the ancient tale of how his master was the originator of some of the primitives and even created Unicron to rule the universe. However, Unicron eventually chose to govern himself and nearly killed Primacron, who promised himself never again to build a corporeal beast. He has fashioned Tornedron to that end, certain that the living energy cloud will never rebel. Suddenly, Tornedron attacks, and the primitives, though striking back with all their might, are all helpless against the undefeatable enemy, who hunts them down one by one and consumes their energy even as he grows bigger with each win. As the victorious Tornedron leaves, Grimlock emerges from underneath Trypticon, who fell on the Dinobot leader when his life force was taken. Grimlock follows Tornedron to a small hub in outer space, where Primacron vainly attempts to control the energy being. However, when the defiant Tornedron threatens to eat his master alive, Grimlock breaks into the station and flips the one switch Primacron had not thought of trying: the reverse. As Tornedron disintegrates from having his energy polarity inverted, his hapless victims are restored, leaving Grimlock to demolish Primacron's lab with a merry dance.
