CLOSING NARRATION

On Cybertron, a distant cybernetic world ravaged by war through many a million years, energy levels have become dangerously low. The peace-loving Autobots, led by the powerful Optimus Prime, leave their home planet in desperate search of new sources of energy with which to revitalize not only the planet, but their stance against their mortal enemies, the conquest-hungry Decepticons. Led by the ruthless Megatron, the Decepticons stealthily follow them. After expending too much power to blast their way through a meteor shower, the Autobots find themselves the unwilling hosts of a Deception invasion party, but it is not long before they are all at the mercy of the gravitational force of an unknown planet. They crash. After four million years of involuntary hibernation, the Transformers are indescriminately revived by the Autobot ship's on-board computer, Teletraan I, and they continue their war on the new world, soon to be revealed to them as Earth. The Decepticons plan to drain Earth dry of its rich energy resources and return to Cybertron with enough power to claim the universe for their own. To that end, they convert an area for construction of a new space cruiser and design a cube-shaped container to hold energon, their basic fuel. Dispatched to locate the Decepticons, Autobots Hound and Cliffjumper soon discover their enemies' insidious activities and barely escape with their lives. Shortly after, the Decepticons select their first target, an oil rig, and promptly set out to raid it, knowing the oil can easily be converted into energon within their cubed containers. The Autobots fly in to stop them, but are unable to do so as the Decepticons distract them by endangering the humans before they escape with their plunder, leaving both foes and humans in a raging inferno.
